One of the easiest and most important things you can do to ensure proper engine function and prevent damage is to change your oil and filters at the recommended intervals for your car or truck. And when you use the proper grade of engine oil, you can also improve your fuel efficiency. Wouldn’t it be great to save a few bucks at the gas station?
So, how often do you really need to change your oil? Back in the day, vehicles needed to have their oil changed every 3,000 miles. Today, intervals vary based on which make and model you own, with some able to go 10,000 miles in between oil changes.
For 2008 and newer model year vehicles, Ford recommends that you change your oil every 7,500 miles or every six months, whichever comes first. For 2007 and older model-year vehicles, Ford recommends an oil change every 5,000 miles or every six months, whichever comes first. You can also check the Intelligent Oil Life Monitor located in your vehicle's instrument cluster message center or call us if you have any questions.

Brake Change - Stop Right There!
Your brakes are one of the most important safety features on your vehicle. Although some car and truck owners wait to have their brakes checked when they notice that they feel squishy or squeaky, smart drivers get their brakes inspected regularly. Since brakes are designed to slowly wear as you use them, you may not notice the gradual deterioration until it’s become a serious problem.
Our Ford dealership service team is made up of expert technicians who will perform a detailed inspection and complete any needed maintenance or repairs to help keep your brakes in safe working order. Getting a brake check-up can save you money in the long run, as well as protect you and your family.
Tips For Ford Tires
Busy people don’t always think about tires until it’s too late and the tread is too thin to provide much-needed traction. Making sure you have the right tires for your vehicle—and for your typical driving conditions—delivers a safe and smooth ride for you and those you love.
In addition to a tire rotation and air pressure check as part of The Works™, we also sell tires for a wide range of vehicles and driving environments. Of course, we’ve got you covered when it comes to sporty Mustangs, tough trucks and popular SUVs. But did you know that we can also fit other makes and models? Choose from 13 name-brand tires and get the assurance of our Low Price Tire Guarantee†. Give us a call and we’ll give you a recommendation for the best tires for your vehicle and lifestyle.
You can count on our Ford Service technicians! We have the latest equipment to make sure your tires are installed correctly and are well maintained. We’ll also take the time to provide guidance on proper inflation, adjustments for weather changes and optimum tread depth.
Your vehicle may be equipped with a tire pressure monitoring system to give you peace of mind. Displayed on your dashboard, it alerts you to sudden changes in tire pressure or low pressure in one or more of your tires.** Why buy tires anywhere else, when La Porte Ford has all of this?
